Composite Character Sketches

This past week was all about Marty, an imaginary character I called a "mulig" (part mule, part flying pig).

I tried to use a variety of action, poses and expressions keeping the character consistent.

It was fun working with a fantasy character. One more character to go this month. Hum...what shall it be?

The Diva: Feb 9 - 15

My second character study, "The Diva". This is a character my granddaughters love. I actually draw her for them all the time! That's two females, think I'll pick a boyish character for the week to come.

Summer Girl: Feb 2-8

The task for the month of February is to choose a character and draw it seven times. (One drawing a day of the same character in different poses with varied expressions.) I chose
Summer Girl for my first week.  Need to work on adding some color to these sketches. That would be fun.

OK, I made it up. It certainly doesn't fit a particular architectural style. Actually the battlements were kinda fun. I still have trouble with straight lines, oh well. After a month of drawing environments, I'm not as "afraid" of them as I was. I'm learning to trust my own vision.
